Part of the "La Cintura de Orione" Cutlery Set, the cook's knife features a molded 1.4116 steel blade while also boasting a handle in POM with thumb and index protection. This robust knife embodies the strength that is required for heavy duty cooking tasks and is used for slicing, chopping, and cutting. Designed by Richard Sapper with Alberto Gozzi's advice, this knife set was a continuation of research which in 1996 led to the creation of a set of pots and pans with the same name and designed for private gourmets. Gozzi had always aspired to create a set of knives not only suitable for great chefs and domestic gourmets, but also for the home cook. Sapper and Gozzi believed that it was essential to consider the hands as an integral part of every utensil, which is why it has to be made so that it can be firmly gripped. By dedicating proportionately greater space to the handles with respect to the blades, the handles are more ergonomic in size and shape and offer a stronger grip so that they can be controlled easily and firmly.
